Calling all Teachers, Educators, and Youth Program Leaders:
Become an official Hip Hop FinFest Program Partner!
→ You know your students need to connect with something that feels relevant to their lives now.
→ You know your students are looking to express themselves in a way that feels connected to a greater purpose.
→ You know the same old financial literacy lessons won’t work with your students (amirite financial educators?)
→ You know your students are ready to make art about complex concepts and real world topics.
→ You know we can’t do any of this without your support.
We know you know. That’s why you’re here. We’re excited to partner with you and support you and your students!
As a Hip Hop FinFest Program partner you’ll receive:
★ Full access to the Hip Hop FinFest lessons for students to complete on their own or with your support
★ Certificates of completion for each student who completes the FinFest program
★ Certificates of participation for each student who submits a song
★ School or organization logo on the Pockets Change website as a program partner
★ Promotion of school or organization during the live FinFest in November + recording of the event
★ Impact report to share with funders/grants on how many students completed the FinFest program and what skills and knowledge your students have gained
★ Email access to director of pedagogy, Dyalekt, with questions about lessons or songwriting
★ BONUS: If your classroom or program has at least 10 students who complete the lessons and at least 1 song submission, the program receives a 1-year curriculum license to the Pockets Change Hip Hop + Finance curriculum ($500 value)

Must be between 12-18 years old to submit.
Must be a resident of the United States, Canada, or Caribbean
Must use content from at least one of the financial education lessons provided.
Must choose a beat provided by the competition.
Your song must include a minimum of 2 verses and one chorus or hook.
Must submit video performance - NO audio-only submissions will be accepted.
Individual submissions - NO group submissions
Absolutely no cursing or profanity allowed.

🎤 Introduce your class to Hip Hop FinFe$t challenges *PRO TIP - April is Financial literacy month, a great time to introduce your students to the fest!
🎤 Each FinFest lesson can be completed in 15-40 minutes to spark money conversations and build financial skills for your whole class
🎤 For students who are interested in submitting a song, find ways to support them. Do you have access to a recording studio? Are you able to help them record the music video? Can you help them edit their verses?
🎤 Encourage students to submit by the early submission deadline of June 30th 2025 to get feedback from one of the judges and get the opportunity to resubmit.
🎤 Remind interested students of the final submission date of September 30th 2025 before school is out!
