Your song will be judged on:

🎶 Quality

🎶 Originality

🎶 And (this is the big one) the money story you choose to share.

We’ve asked you to write songs because music makes sense, and the stories of songs become common sense. We’re asking you to build a new common sense about what’s important to you.

It’s your choice.

    • Must be a resident of the United States, Canada, or Caribbean

    • Must use content from at least one of the financial education lessons provided.

    • Must choose a beat provided by the competition.

    • Your song must include a minimum of 2 versus.

  • 🎤 Introduce your class to Hip Hop FinFe$t challenges *PRO TIP - April is Financial literacy month, a great time to introduce your class to the fest!

🎤 Each FinFest lesson can be completed in 15-40 minutes to spark money conversations and build financial skills for your whole class

🎤 For students who are interested in submitting a song, find ways to support them. Do you have access to a recording studio? Are you able to help them record the music video?  Can you help them edit their verses?

🎤 Remind interested students of the final submission date of September 30th before school is out!

You did it! Congrats on learning through the FinFest Challenges!

We can't wait to see what you come up with this year. Our team is looking forward to hearing your amazing songs that bring awareness to the needs of your communities and inspire a change toward financial resilience.
